Frequently asked questions
How does Cornflower Adventure differ from a regular Earl Grey?
Classic Earl Grey is black tea with bergamot oil – and that's it. Our Cornflower Adventure is an original interpretation: to a base of Ceylon black tea and natural bergamot, we've added freeze-dried raspberry, lavender flower, cornflower petals, and elderflower. It's a multi-dimensional flavour where citrusy bergamot meets the fruity sweetness of raspberry and the herbal calm of lavender. No artificial flavours.
How to brew Earl Grey with lavender?
Water temperature 90-95°C. Black tea is the most resistant to high temperatures. Use 2g per 200ml, brew for 3-5 minutes. 3 minutes will give a lighter infusion with a distinct bergamot and lavender aroma, 5 minutes - a stronger, more classic Earl Grey. We recommend drinking it plain to experience the full profile: bergamot + raspberry + lavender.
Does Cornflower Adventure contain caffeine?
Yes. Ceylon black tea contains approx. 40-60mg of caffeine per cup — less than coffee (80-120mg), but enough to boost your energy. If you're looking for decaffeinated tea, we recommend our Chocolate Relaxation (rooibos) or Honey Soothe (herbal tea).
Can I drink this tea with milk?
You can – it's an English tradition to add milk to Earl Grey. But we recommend trying it without first to experience the full flavour profile with lavender and raspberry. With milk, Cornflower Adventure becomes milder and more dessert-like. Both variants are delicious.
Where does the black tea in this blend come from?
The base is Ceylon black tea from Sri Lanka – one of the noblest varieties of black teas in the world. We handcraft the entire composition in Poland, combining Ceylon with natural ingredients: bergamot, freeze-dried raspberry, lavender, and cornflower. No artificial flavors or colorings.
